Music Classes Begin at Bridgehampton campus: Beginner Group Guitar (Ages 12-16)

Location: East End Arts' South Fork satellite campus at the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, 551 Sag Harbor Tpke, Bridgehampton, NY 11932 (this program is organized and presented by East End Arts, with all registration through EEA)
Description: Instructor: Joseph Freyre
In this beginner group guitar class, students will learn the basics of guitar techniques including the use of rhythm and chords, and the understanding of various guitar styles. Guitar is needed for home practice.
Cost for session: $84 EEA members / $122 non-members
Session 2: Saturdays, November 19 - January 21, 2016, (no classes on 12/24 and 12/31), 10:00 - 11:00 AM (7 classes)

Additional sessions offered:
Session 1: Saturdays, October 1 - November 12, 2016, 10:00 - 11:00 AM (7 classes)
Session 3: Saturdays, February 4 - March 25, 2017, (no class 2/25), 10:00 - 11:00 AM (7 classes)

About the Instructor
Joseph Freyre
is a musician and music educator with a BA in Jazz Guitar Performance from Manhattan School of music and a Masters Degree in Music Education from SUNY Fredonia. He has studied under Jack Wilkins, Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz and others and has taught in various school systems including Patchogue, Shirley and Center Moriches. His emphasis is in jazz/rock electric guitar, electric bass, classical guitar, theory and jazz and symphonic band.
Joseph performs actively with his own band “Souled Out” and has performed in the Manhattan School of Music Big Band, The Michigan Jazz Festival, where he headlined and The Roland Jazz Latin Band.
